Tainted

Being human, allof us have people we like and people whom we dun like. people who impress us and people whom will never get into our good books.

Recently, after the school exams, we have a few cheating cases on our hands and we are required to do investigations. Such investigations as to be done with the most neutral attitude and fair judgement.

We arn't talking abt points, pass or fail, grades and ranking. we are facing an issue of trust and will affect the students dramatically.  Will we as teachers, be able to put aside all the student's past and investigate base on the situation there and then? or will teachers allow themselves to be clouded by the tainted past that the student have and pass judgement based on the other teacher's statement and views? and most importantly, will we be able to face the students without looking at the tainted past at all?

personally, every student is a brand new page everyday. The kid themselves will start scribbling on that page the moment they wake up from bed. It's up to the adults ard them to help correct the mistakes they make on that page and remind them to be more tidy in their writing. at the End of the day, will the page be full of messy senseless scribbles or a piece of neatly written essay or simply a page of essay full of corrections, it's up to them, the students. and it's up to us to provide them guidance and support to help them make all those corrections.

We are teachers. We have the power to make a difference. We Can Make a difference in their live. So it all boils down to 1 last question... Do we want to make a difference?

I hope my existence can help make some changes in somebody's life for the better.

Graduation

It's graduation day for the Sec 4s today. Many are looking forward to this day, another milestone in their lives. After today, these young teens will have to make a very important choice in their life, "Which school and course to go to." There will be plenty of uncertainties and doubts, but one thing is for sure is that, it's another new beginning in their lives and there will be Hope.

Wishing them good luck and God bless these children.

Slapped in the face.

Ahh~ the exam period. Many might be wondering, wat would a Multimedia Teacher/Trainer do during exams? It's non-exam-able and therefore no marking, surely he must be very free.

Well, NO. I have plenty of work to assess. Project work from students and certificates to print, holiday lessons for teachers and websites to manage. On top of tat, i'm studying as well, so i do have homework to do. Sadly, the other teachers do no see it this way, blinded from the fact tat i have my own duties to perform, i'm tasked to perform the most honourable and difficult task during the exams, toilet escort.

It's no simple task. I have to float ard the level, passing by the classes without making any sound, bring any students, whom urgently need to pick up nature's call, to the toilet. it's pretty exciting especially when you escort the students, for they might be attacked by the toilet monster who likes to eat peeing teens, so we as toilet escorts must be on high alert at all time when the students wee wee.

so, wat's so special today? well, i witnessed the most horrifying incident in my LIFE!!! A student apparently slapped a classmate before my VERY EYES. not so sure of wat happened, but it's very obvious that he is really pissed. Never would i think that this student would do such a deed. to me, it's indeed a horrifying sight. Why would a nice and bubbly boy become so violent? I could see angry and remorse in his eyes. wat ever it was, I do hope he knws tat it's is wrong to use violence especially to a friend.

hmm, gotta go for a course now.... sian... =_=

1st Post

Starting this blog to document my life in Christ Church Secondary School. Gonna be just my work, my annoying yet adorable [sometimes] students and teachers [does not restrict to politically correct informations].

2 years into teaching, life is starting to become very boring. hope this blog can add some colour to the teaching life between me and my work. Maybe my readers can give me some insights or suggestions.

Enough blabbering and let's get started on the juicy stuff.
